As each fire type requires a different Fire Extinguisher, it’s important to work with a trusted partner to understand which is the right one for your business. We work with our clients to ensure the Fire Extinguishers fitted are right for their requirements. All of our Fire Extinguishers are inspected and tested in accordance to BS 5306-3 standard.
The legal requirements
Failure to provide appropriate Fire equipment could lead to prosecution or refusal of insurance pay-outs, apart from injury and loss of life. As such, a designated responsible person is legally required to carry out a fire risk assessment and implement and maintain a fire plan. The Fire Safety Order 2005 states that appropriate fire-fighting equipment, including portable fire extinguishers, must be provided where there is any risk of fire, meaning that it isn’t just a guidance but a legal requirement.
